Gongryong had a son named Donghee. One day, while they were eating together, Donghee collapsed, and a panicked Gongryong rushed to find Heug-gakbyeol. Donghee needed surgery as soon as possible, but due to a nearby resort collapse, surgeries had to be performed in order. Gakbyeol explained that there was one child in critical condition he had to treat first, after which he would operate on Donghee immediately. That child was the young Sleepground. However, Sleepground's surgery took too long, and ultimately, Donghee passed away.
