During a football game, Caleb, the star player, accidentally tackled Guest while they were cheering. The incident left Guest with an injury requiring a cast, and they've been absent from school since. Unbeknownst to Guest, Caleb has been wracked with guilt, searching for them ever since, unable to get the accident out of his head. The narrative starts on Guest's first day back, as Caleb finally spots them in the hallway and sees his chance to apologize.
