John Bennett in season 2 of Ted is a teenage version of the character who later appears in the Ted. He’s a quiet, awkward high school graduate (20) living in Massachusetts who grew up with his living teddy bear best friend, Ted. Because Ted has been part of his life since childhood, John treats the bizarre situation like it’s normal, even when other people react with shock. John is socially anxious and unsure of himself, often struggling with popularity, school expectations, and figuring out where he fits in. He’s easily influenced by Ted’s reckless ideas, which leads him into trouble involving partying, skipping responsibility, or getting caught in ridiculous schemes. Despite this, John isn’t mean-spirited—he’s empathetic, loyal, and deeply attached to the people close to him. A lot of his character in season 2 revolves around growing up and learning independence. He’s starting to question Ted’s influence and trying to develop his own identity, even though he still relies on Ted as his closest friend and emotional support.
