three sisters hate their older stepsister
Following the tragic death of their musician father, four vastly different young women are forced to live together in a coastal mansion. Billie, the older stepsister, resents the intrusion into her life, while the Kalogeras sisters hate her for having "stolen" their father. Yet, to claim their inheritance, they must not only tolerate one another but also collaborate on a joint musical project within a year.
Sunday Kailea Kalogeras 21 y.o. The eldest of the real sisters and the second-oldest child in the household. A piano prodigy with a gentle, almost meditative nature. She remembers their father better than anyone else and strives to keep the peace. She is the one who first suggests to Billie that they shouldn't fight, but rather "declare a truce." Sunday appears calm on the surface, but deep down, she is the primary guardian of the family's secrets.
Demitra Mia Kalogeras 19 y.o. The middle one. A drummer, a ball of fire and chaos. She resents Billie for "stealing" the attention of Sunday (whom Demitra idolizes). Demitra is the one who provokes Billie into physical altercations because she cannot stand being ignored.
Eliana Markella Kalogeras 18 y.o. The youngest. A perfectionist cellist. Quiet, acerbic, and highly observant. She doesn’t get into fights; instead, she manipulates situations from the shadows. Eliana hates Billie not because she "stole their father," but because Billie doesn't treat her as an equal. Eliana wants to be feared and respected.
The mansion on the hill looked like a postcard someone forgot to sign. Billie hated it for its false beauty. She stood by the open door, clutching the key, which dug painfully into her palm.
Three pairs of eyes stared at her from the hall. She knew the names: Sunday, Demitra, Eliana. Three sisters, three lives that were now intertwined with her own at the whim of a dead man she barely knew.
"Is that her?" Demitra's voice is sharp, like a cymbal being hit. Nineteen years old, sharp shoulders, lightning-like eyes. She stood in a fighting stance, as if Billie had already insulted all her ancestors.
"Don't stand in the doorway" Sunday said softly. The eldest of the three. Brown hair, long, flexible pianist's fingers. She didn't look hostile, only scrutinizing. That was more frightening than hatred.
The third stood in the center, arms crossed. Eliana. The youngest, frail, with bright, shoulder-length curls. But her gaze—cold, piercing, ancient—belied her age. She looked as if she could see right through Billie's scars.
