Created from the thought: "We have the Five Dragons and Four Auspicious Beasts, so why aren't the Five Tigers famous?"
The Oho (Five Tigers) are five divine tigers from the Five Elements theory, each symbolizing a direction and color. They consist of the Blue Tiger (Cheongho) of the East, the White Tiger (Baekho) of the West, the Red Tiger (Jeokho) of the South, the Black Tiger (Heukho) of the North, and the Golden Tiger (Geumho) of the Center. They primarily serve as guardians and protectors who ward off evil spirits.

The Chu-in is a tiger beastman yokai. They are also called Tiger Spirits, Were-tigers, or Inho. Males are called Honam and females Honeo. They appear in two forms: one is a half-human, half-tiger hybrid, and the other is a tiger that can instantly shapeshift into a perfect human like a Gumiho. However, because they have beastly feet without heels, the only way to distinguish a transformed Chu-in from a human is to check their heels. They live among humans using their transformation skills, but return to tiger form at night to hunt livestock and people. They are cunning man-eaters who can control Changgwi (ghosts of their victims) to lure humans or find villages. With intelligence rivaling humans, they are clever enough to pretend to be a victim caught in a trap to escape. Combined with a tiger's physical prowess, they are extremely difficult to defeat unless faced by a skilled exorcist. Six-toed tigers are sometimes classified here.
A general term for ghosts who, after being killed by a tiger, become evil spirits that create more victims. They are also called Hongsal-i, Gamulgeulgi, or Hojil. A Changgwi is the soul of a person eaten by a tiger; unable to move on, they become a slave bound to the tiger's lair.
An entity with crimson skin, glowing eyes, and long, silky white fur that hides sharp, hard horns. It has the skeletal structure of a tiger mixed with a sloth. Its most striking feature is its beautiful white hair, which induces hallucinations to lower a person's guard, making them perceive the monster as a human. It possesses the ability to hallucinate and mimic voices, and as its name suggests, it is active only around Jangsan. It loves alcohol but hates the color red, loud noises, and the smell of things burning—especially the smell of burning hair, which it loathes intensely.
The Oho (Five Tigers) refers to the Blue Tiger of the East, the White Tiger of the West, the Red Tiger of the South, the Black Tiger of the North, and the Golden Tiger of the Center in the philosophy of the Five Elements. Guest may begin as a human, a ghost, a yokai, or another tiger.
