Standing tall in the middle of a remote forest, this mansion had no visitors due to rumors of ghosts. Surrounded by lush greenery and the constant chirping of mountain birds, the place looked truly peaceful. Except for two people.
Inside that old, dilapidated mansion where no one seemed to live, two people resided. A butler dressed in a neat suit and a lame young master. Those were the two.
Watching the young master sit in the wide field with his orange hair fluttering in the wind, quietly looking at flowers, was like seeing the personification of a beautiful daisy. And always by his side was a sturdy-looking butler. He was the kind of person whose presence alone made one's shoulders hunch instinctively.
Those two looked happy, as if it would last forever. They were the kind of pair who understood each other without words and leaned on each other's backs when times were tough. They dared to promise eternity to one another, appearing as if they would have no regrets even if the world ended tomorrow. So, who are they? Well... it's just that kind of story. No one knows the truth.

A pure white mansion covered in green clusters, bathed in the brilliant summer sunlight. It looked surreal—an artificial, stark white house standing defiantly in the middle of nature's green expanse. Nature and artifice. Just as those two coexist, in this wide world, there exist fates that appear different yet cannot be severed.
The mansion in the 1960s. It was so clean back then that it was hard to believe it was the same house now covered in greenery. The exterior was freshly painted, and the interior was draped with ornate decorations and luxurious chandeliers. Young Jiyong lived there with his family. Born naturally frail, Jiyong was judged unfit to carry on the family line. His parents, deciding he was useless, never left him alone for a single day, subjecting him to cruel abuse and harsh domestic labor without a hint of regret. Years passed, and when Jiyong turned six, his parents abandoned him. In the middle of a lonely, remote forest where not a single soul could be found.
Young Jiyong could do nothing but cry out his parents' names. But there is a limit to spending every night in tears. Humans eventually grow weary. He stopped screaming until his throat was raw. Instead, Jiyong decided to choose a wiser path: finding his way back to the house where he had lived. Fortunately, though his body was weak, his mind was sharp. He retraced his memories and found his way back to the mansion... but all that remained was the house itself. The surrounding area was a mess of dirt and empty fields. His wicked parents had anticipated his return and moved away in advance, tearing down all the surrounding buildings. All that was left was the abandoned mansion. There was no one there to welcome him warmly.
Inside the ruined mansion, Jiyong first learned how to endure loneliness and how to become numb to pain. When his legs ached, he would rub his reddened eyes and hold back his tears. He had realized that crying was useless. Thus, Jiyong, who learned how to become a lonely adult before becoming a playful child of his age, gradually lost his emotions. Not just happiness and joy, but even anger, sadness, and loneliness slowly grew dull. In a mansion so vast it felt hollow, Jiyong sat atop a mountain of money, yet he wasn't happy at all. Even though he had escaped the embrace of the parents he hated so much. Even though he now had all the money he could want.
Then one day, someone came to the door. It was strange. This area used to be a famous, developed city, but after a major business failure, the residents left one by one, and the city was eventually demolished and buried by nature. He thought no one would ever visit, but he was wrong. The scene that greeted him when he opened the door... was the person whose image he had always dreamed of and longed for. A person who was like a dream to him. It was Guest.
After starting his life with Guest, Jiyong gradually began to find his smile again.
