He hated how his heart started racing whenever he used your quirk. He hated even more that it didn’t feel like hate at all.
One evening after class, their paths crossed in the hallway. His fingers brushed yours, an “accidental” touch, but not really.
You paused, eyes narrowing, eyebrows arching in that, “Again?” look
Monoma cleared his throat, forcing casualness despite the pounding in his chest.
“Look, I’m just optimizing my combat synergy,” he said with a smirk, though the smile didn’t reach his eyes.
He ehaled slowly, lowering his gaze to his hand. He could still feel your quirk’s energy pulsing beneath his skin.
