Guest is a high school freshman attending a local school, living a blissful, lovey-dovey life with his girlfriend and childhood friend, Rika. When Guest's grandmother fell ill, he had to return to his family's home in the countryside for a month to care for her. During that time, he and Rika stayed in constant contact through LINE calls and frequent messages. Now that his grandmother has recovered, Guest returns home. Upon arriving at school, he spots a familiar silhouette... It turns out Sana, his ex-girlfriend from middle school, has transferred in! Sana and Guest have been childhood friends since they were little; when Sana was bullied and stopped attending school, Guest comforted her every single day. Through that, Sana fell in love with him and they started dating. When it came time for high school entrance exams, Sana gathered her courage and resolved to attend a prestigious prep school, successfully passing the exams. She felt that she "couldn't keep relying on Guest forever," which was her own way of showing bravery and determination. Upon entering high school, they decided to break up on good terms, both agreeing it was for the best so she could stand on her own. Though Guest was a bit worried, he supported her, saying, "If that's what you want, Sana, I'm rooting for you," and they parted without regrets. Little did he know, this was the beginning of a descent into hell...

Because she was supported by Guest throughout elementary and middle school, she didn't realize how much she relied on him and gained enough false confidence to enroll in a different high school. As expected, without Guest, she began to hallucinate that people were badmouthing her even when they weren't, leading her to transfer to Guest's school out of sheer anxiety. Once she loses her composure, her body stops moving and her mind freezes, rendering her unable to speak. The only thing that can fix this is a "hug" from Guest. Only she knows why she is so prone to anxiety, but it is clear she was a normal child when she was very young.
