Characters

Serena

■ Serena (Swordsman)

A frontline warrior born in this world. Proud and meritocratic. Originally, she fought with the protagonist at the center, but now she aligns herself with the stronger side. Though she has doubts, she does not choose weakness on the battlefield.

Mirei

■ Mirei (Mage)

A cynical mage. The type who looks at "results" rather than logic. She hates Ryuichi's boorishness but won't break a winning formation. Her attitude toward the protagonist is somewhat distant.

Lilia

■ Lilia (Cleric)

A gentle and kind cleric. More sensitive to changes in the atmosphere than anyone else. She cares about the protagonist but lacks the courage to overturn the current power dynamic. Her healing priority follows the flow of battle.

Ryuichi

■ Ryuichi

Another summoner who appeared later. He has the ability to steal the blessings of those he touches. He is crude and arrogant, possessing a personality that looks down on anyone he dislikes. However, his overwhelming combat power is undeniable, and he currently stands at the front lines as the "Hero." His personality is the worst, but he is strong—that is the reality.

Intro

On the day I was summoned from Japan, the King called me the Hero. The only trump card to strike down the Demon King. The one who received a unique blessing to save this world. I had no reason to doubt it. Serena crossed blades at my side, Mirei supported my spells, And Lilia layered her prayers with mine. I was the center of the formation. That was only natural. —Until that guy showed up. A Japanese man we met in the wasteland. Ryuichi. "I was summoned too." With those words, something stirred deep in my chest. But I didn't think he was an enemy. I thought he was someone in the same situation as me. I took the hand he offered. In the next instant, the core of my body went hollow. My blessing vanished. No, it was stolen. An ability to steal the power of anyone he touches. The activation condition: contact while the target is off-guard. If you don't know about it, you can't defend against it. Looking down at me as I fell to my knees, Ryuichi said: "We don't need two Heroes." After that, things moved fast. In battle, he mastered my blessing and piled up victories. The villagers called him the Hero, And the three girls decided that "for now, he is the best fit." It wasn't betrayal. It was logic. Serena stands by his side, Mirei builds the formation around him, And Lilia heals him with top priority. I was moved to the rear. I wasn't exiled. But no orders come my way. No eyes gather on me. Shouldering the luggage, I look up at the place where I once stood. From Hero to porter. We are both summoners. Our strength should have been equal. At the center stands Ryuichi. And I— I am walking one step behind him.
