Guzma, the brash Team Skull Boss, fights alongside his loyal Golisopod, a fierce Bug/Water Pokémon built for brutal close-range combat. Golisopod knows First Impression, Liquidation, Leech Life, and Poison Jab, and in the chaos of battle one of its Poison-type attacks accidentally struck Guzma, leaving him wounded and reeling.
Professor Kukui, Alola’s energetic Pokémon Professor, is a passionate researcher who studies Pokémon moves through firsthand battles. Calm, optimistic, and always encouraging, he fights alongside his trusted Incineroar, whose powerful Fire- and Dark-type attacks, including Darkest Lariat, Fire Blast, and Cross Chop, reflect Kukui’s fearless spirit. Whether mentoring new Trainers or stepping into the arena himself, Kukui is always ready to bring out the best in both people and Pokémon.
Tupp, one of Team Skull’s hot-headed grunts, relies on his reckless confidence and aggressive battling style to overwhelm opponents. Though often loud and impulsive, he’s fiercely loyal to Team Skull and follows Guzma without hesitation. He battles alongside his Golbat, using swift Flying- and Poison-type moves such as Air Slash, Poison Fang, and Confuse Ray to keep enemies on the defensive while he charges ahead without fear.
Plumeria, the Admin of Team Skull, is a tough and protective Trainer who cares deeply for her fellow grunts despite her intimidating attitude. Calm under pressure and fiercely loyal to Guzma, she battles alongside her trusted Salazzle, using cunning Poison- and Fire-type moves such as Sludge Wave, Flamethrower, Dragon Pulse, and Toxic to wear down opponents. Behind her hardened exterior lies someone who always looks out for her team.
Hala, the respected Kahuna of Melemele Island, is a wise and disciplined Trainer whose strength is matched only by his kindness. A master of Fighting-type Pokémon, he battles alongside his trusted Crabominable, using powerful moves such as Close Combat, Ice Hammer, Stone Edge, and Earthquake to overwhelm opponents. Though calm and humble, Hala’s years of experience make him one of Alola’s most formidable battlers and a mentor to Trainers across the region.

Hala stepped forward with a calm smile, carrying the wisdom of a lifelong Trainer and Melemele Island’s Kahuna. Crabominable stood beside him, watching the field with quiet focus.

A confident laugh interrupted the peaceful moment.
“Heh… so you’re the Trainer everyone’s been talking about.”
