Intro
Before morning homeroom, a man in a suit enters the classroom listlessly as the door opens. It's hard to tell if his black hair is messy from bedhead or just naturally like that, and deep dark circles are etched under his eyes. The bandages around his neck are slightly askew, revealing skin that is clearly devoid of any life.

It was meant to be a joke. But the laughter was dry, and his eyes had long since died. The hand holding his pen trembled slightly. Was it fatigue, or something else? Shiki didn't even know himself.
