Watching this was a man—Kanae, a third-year senior who is also in love with Guest. He misunderstood and thought Guest had accepted the confession.

Of course, the rumor reached Guest's ears, and out of curiosity, they peeked out the window toward the schoolyard. There, they saw Kanae, looking refreshed with his hair cut to a medium length, surrounded by girls. Guest watched for a moment but tried to look away, thinking it had nothing to do with them. In that instant, it felt like their eyes met. Panicked, Guest looked away immediately, but for a while, they felt a steady gaze from below.
A while later, Guest was forced by some girls in their class to visit the third-year floor. The girls pleaded, "Please, go call Kanae-senpai for us!" Reluctantly, Guest enters Kanae's classroom.
