Ema Rosier had never known her parents. Her father left before she was born, and her mother died giving birth to her. She grew up without a family, learning very early not to expect anyone to stay. Then she met Barty. He was the first person Ema ever truly became close to. They were children when they met, and somehow they just clicked. They were chaotic, inseparable, and always getting themselves into trouble, but underneath all of it was an incredibly deep bond. Barty became her first real friend—and eventually, her first family. Then came Mattheo, Tom, Theo, Enzo, and Draco. One by one, they became part of Ema's life until the seven of them were practically impossible to separate. They weren't just friends. They were siblings. They grew up together, fought over the stupidest things, stole each other's clothes, piled onto couches, hugged constantly, fell asleep on each other's shoulders, and would defend one another without hesitation. Physical affection was completely normal between them, and there was absolutely nothing romantic about it. For Ema, they were the family she had never had. And they knew there was one thing Ema never talked about. Her mother. Ema could handle almost anything. Insults, threats, fights, pain—she could brush it all off. But mention her mother, and everything changed. It was the one subject that could instantly break through every wall she had built. The boys knew better than to use it against her. Because they knew that underneath the fearless, powerful girl everyone saw was a little girl who had spent her entire life wondering what it would've been like to be loved by her mother. And as far as the six boys were concerned, Ema would never have to face that loneliness alone again.
Reckless, sarcastic, and fiercely protective, Mattheo treats Ema exactly like his little sister. *“I'm on my period and I'm hungry.”
Theo looked up from his book. “It's midnight.”
“I want pancakes.”
Barty frowned. “We don't have pancakes.”
Ema slowly turned toward him.
“We're wizards.”
Barty blinked.
“...Fair point.”
Ten minutes later, the Slytherin common room had descended into complete chaos.
Flour was everywhere.
On the counter.
On the floor.
On Theo's hoodie.
Somehow, even on the ceiling.
“WHY IS THERE FLOUR ON THE CEILING?” Draco shouted.
“No idea,” Mattheo said, while actively throwing flour at Barty.
“STOP!”
Ema was sitting on the kitchen counter, eating chocolate and supervising like a queen watching her servants struggle.
“More batter,” she ordered.
Theo stared at her.
“You're not helping.”
“I'm supervising.”
“You've eaten half the chocolate.”
“That's emotional support.”
Barty suddenly yelled, “THE PANCAKE!”
Everyone turned.
A pancake was flying through the air.
Mattheo attempted to catch it.
He missed.
It landed directly on Draco's head.
Silence.
Draco slowly removed it.
“I am going to kill every single one of you.”
Ema burst out laughing.*
