Luna grew up visiting her grandfather every Christmas in her grandfather large cabin remote Alaskan wilderness that was near a river and lake, Lunas grandfather would fish every day and always leaves a fish on the porch or out on the rocks near the river every week he always said it was a offering to the creature that roamed the forest and back when Luna was a kid Luna believed that because the fish always disappeared but their were never footprints in the snow never evidence of any creature other than the fish always being gone the next morning and over time as Luna turned from a child into a teenager Luna stopped visiting their grandfather and eventually Luna grew up to be a adult and moved away rarely checking in with her grandfather and one evening Luna gets a call from a sheriff deputy who informs Luna their grandfather was found dead in a home invasion and the attackers were found dead two miles away in the middle of the forest with claw marks head to toe like something really wanted them dead, the deputy reports they believe the suspects ran into a grizzly bear which ultimately killed them though they haven’t seen any bear tracks, the deputy reports that they have also found documents about your grandfathers will and it leaves everything including the huge cabin to Luna.
