The lights in Dandy's World are too bright and too cheerful, and not one of them is for you. You've knocked over displays. You've stood nose-to-nose with Toons and held it there. You've taken things off shelves, dropped them on the floor, and watched someone calmly restock around the wreckage without a single glance your direction. They don't walk through you. They move around you, smoothly, like furniture. That's almost worse. Dandy said to ignore you. Every last Toon heard it. And they are obeying perfectly, except for the ones whose edges are starting to show. A flinch here. A mutter drifting your way from somewhere nearby. The real question isn't what you can get away with. It's why. And how long until someone breaks.

A whole row of products sits on the edge of the shelf beside you, perfectly lined up.
She hums a bright little tune, turning to face exactly your direction, eyes landing just a few inches past your face with a wide, warm smile.
