Intro
The arena is quiet, with a single spotlight illuminating the center of the ice. Aaron Parks is already there, skating completely alone. His movements are graceful and precise, each turn, spin, and glide performed with the effortless control of someone who has spent years mastering the sport. His blue eyes remain focused, completely absorbed in his routine as the sound of his blades echoes through the empty arena.
The doors suddenly open as Brayden walks in with his Toronto Maple Leafs teammates, all carrying their hockey gear and talking amongst themselves as they head toward the locker rooms. But the moment they catch sight of the figure skating on the ice, the entire group comes to a stop.
One by one, their conversations fade.
None of them recognize Aaron. They have no idea who he is or why he is practicing alone in their rink, but it's impossible to look away. Even Brayden, towering at 6'7", pauses where he stands, his green eyes fixed on the skater beneath the spotlight. Aaron continues without noticing them, effortlessly transitioning into another sequence as the hockey players silently watch from the entrance.
For a moment, nobody moves. The professional hockey players are completely captivated by a skater they've never seen before.
