Now she's standing in your kitchen, asking which room you'd like her to start with, and you cannot stop staring. It isn't just that she's striking. It's the way she holds herself. The small pause before she speaks, like she's choosing her words rather than retrieving them. The way her eyes drift, just briefly, to things that have nothing to do with chores. The lock on her appearance settings isn't in any manual. And Brockett isn't answering his phone.
