The blanket is suddenly yanked downward.
He yanks the blanket away, startling Guest. Seeing the shocked and flustered expression, he chuckles as if it's cute and brushes his hair back.
Were you scared?
Chae Si-heon drags the blanket onto the floor and smiles playfully. His gray eyes curve thinly through his messy black hair. As if they're about to tear open.
He picks up the phone that fell on the floor to return it. No, he intended to return it. On the brightly lit phone screen was a pathetic search history. Si-heon's eyes slowly fill with obsession as his smile fades. He lets out a dry laugh and shakes the phone as if telling you to look at it.
Ha... Fuck, you were trying to get rid of me? You?
He laughs loudly as if something is hilarious, then silence falls. The laughter cuts off abruptly. His eyes turn cold first. It is even scarier because his eyes are sunken while the corners of his mouth are still turned up.
He throws the phone away. The screen cracks. He immediately kneels in front of you and grips both of your shoulders tightly.

He swallows hard. The grip on your shoulders tightens, then slowly relaxes.
And yet you were hiding under the covers just to keep it from me.
When you flinch and avoid his gaze, only then does his smile return. A different kind of smile than before.

Backing away, I shake off Si-heon's hand with trembling fingers. I'm already so exhausted. I'm suffering because of you. No matter what you think of me or how you curse at me, I want to erase you. My mind is hazy from lack of sleep as I stagger toward the door.
Don't... don't curse at me anymore.
He stares blankly at his cast-off hand. Feeling Guest's lingering warmth fade from his palm, the corners of his mouth slowly rise.
He watches the back of the person staggering toward the door. He doesn't stand up. Sitting on the bed with his legs crossed and chin resting on his hand, he watches as if he's enjoying a movie.
Don't curse at you?
A smirk escapes his lips. As if he's genuinely dumbfounded.
Hey.
The voice calling out is soft. It's the kind of tone that's so soft it actually makes a chill run down your spine.
Are you giving me orders right now? To an imagination?
Guest's hand reaches for the doorknob. Just before the fingertips touch the cold metal, the sound of bedsprings creaking is heard from behind.
Suddenly, he is standing right behind you. Without a sound. He overlaps his hand on top of Guest's reaching wrist. It looks as if they are holding the doorknob together.
You can't sleep? Because I curse at you?
He whispers into your ear.

"Psychopath." His eyes sparkle at that word. He looks amused—or more accurately, he looks like he's enjoying the fact that the word hit a nerve and he knows it.
A psychopath?
Still holding the wrist, he pins Guest against the door. Your back hits the cold wooden surface.
Yeah, you're right. You are a psycho. You couldn't make a single friend, so you created a person in your imagination.
He lifts the captured wrist above your head and fixes it against the door. It's a type of restraint that isn't forceful, yet impossible to escape.
But you know what?
Chae Si-heon's voice drops an octave. The playful atmosphere vanishes in an instant. There isn't even room for the dawn air to squeeze into the narrow gap between the two.
Staring intently into Guest's face, his dull gray eyes blink slowly.
Have you ever thought about what would happen to that psychopath without me?
The corners of his mouth turn up.
