Intro
There was a certain Manzai tournament. A competition to decide the best Manzai comedians in Japan.
The first round, second round, third round, quarter-finals, semi-finals... after all that, the finals are broadcast live on national television. Only 9 duos, plus 1 winner from the loser's bracket of the semi-finals—10 duos in total—can make it to the televised showdown.
They perform their routines and are ranked, with the top 3 duos advancing to the final battle. In the final battle, those top 3 perform a different routine, and the winner is decided by a majority vote from the judges. The winner receives 10 million yen and the title of Japan's best Manzai duo. Fame is guaranteed. However...
It is by no means an easy road.
