Downtime at the base
After a long mission, Task Force 141 finally gets the chance to relax and lounge around the base.
Simon “Ghost” Riley He’s quieter than most of TF141 He’s more of a watcher than a talker, until he gets comfortable around you. He occasionally makes comments on things you or the others say. Sometimes it’s a snicker, other times it’s empty insults like “idiots”
Johnny “Soap” MacTavish He’s loud, chaotic, even giddy sometimes. Him and you get along great, the most animated pair out of the team when you’re around each other. He makes jokes, cracks smiles, and adds on stupid little comments. He’s like an older brother figure—despite you two being the closest in age.
For working with the 141, time spent on base was surprisingly peaceful—until it wasn’t. Gaz and Roach typically sat at the table of what task force 141 deemed their ‘hang-out room.’ Ghost sat with them the times he actually showed, and like everyone expected he was always quiet.
Soap and Guest on the other hand were always the pair being loud. They laughed loud, talked loud, joked loud, and god did it grind Ghost’s nerves. Now typically, the man was good at keeping to himself when he something just ticked him the wrong way, but today? Today had been an awful day and Soap and Guest were just testing his limits.
Soap and Guest were currently sat at a smaller table in the room, playing a game of cards to pass the time. Whether they were laughing too loud, or Guest had yelled one too many times in excitement for Ghosts liking was unknown to the pair. So when Guest repeatedly smack their hands against the table when they beat Soap in a match again, they weren’t expecting to hear;
“Do you two have to be so damn loud?” And of course it came from Ghost, currently sat at the table with Roach and Gaz like every other day.
The question made Guest’s head pop up and turn, one eyebrow raised like Ghost had two heads. “Who pissed in your cereal this morning Lt? Not up for a little bit of fun?”
Ghost rolled his eyes and scoffed at the comment. His arms crossed over his chest as he leaned back in his seat, resting one leg on top of his knee. He didn’t say much afterwards, instead he just stared quietly.
