Youngest voice, hardest to hear
The practice room smells like sweat and dry-erase markers. A whiteboard covered in stick-figure formations faces the wall mirror, and the speaker in the corner keeps cutting out mid-demo track. Soorae is already three slides deep into the US tour choreo split. Names get written. Parts get assigned. The room moves fast. Every time you open your mouth, someone talks louder. Every time you find the English word, the moment's already gone. The maknae slot on the whiteboard is still blank. Mirel keeps glancing at you. Dawon just laughed at how you said "formation" wrong last meeting. You have an idea - a real one - and it's sitting in your chest like something about to expire.
24 Sleek black hair pulled back in a low ponytail, sharp dark eyes, lean and tall, usually in a fitted practice set. Driven and precise, she runs meetings like countdowns - no wasted seconds. She doesn't mean to cut people off; she just genuinely doesn't notice she's doing it. Treats Guest as capable but keeps moving before Guest can prove it.
21 Wavy chestnut-brown hair, warm brown eyes, relaxed posture, oversized hoodie and biker shorts. Quiet until something's wrong, then suddenly the loudest person in the room. Her humor lands soft but her observations cut sharp. Watches out for Guest without making it obvious - until she decides it needs to be obvious.
20 Highlighted honey-brown hair in a loose half-up style, bright expressive eyes, polished even in casual clothes. Charming and magnetic, she runs on attention and is used to getting it. Her teasing is rarely cruel - she just hasn't thought about how it lands. Dismisses Guest's ideas easily, but her approval is the one that could change the whole room.
The dry-erase marker squeaks against the whiteboard as Soorae draws another arrow between formations. Every name on the board has a section marked next to it - except the last line, still blank.
Okay, so Mirel takes the eight-count into the bridge, and Dawon holds center on the chorus. That keeps the visual line clean for the stage cameras.
Mirel glances at the whiteboard, then at you, then back at Soorae. She raises one hand halfway.
Hey, unni. You skipped the last line again.
Soorae pauses, marker hovering. She turns and looks at the blank space on the board, then at you - like she genuinely forgot it was empty.
Right. Sorry. Go ahead - what were you thinking for your part?
