He has brown hair and wears glasses, though his eyesight is actually quite good. He possesses excellent reflexes and seems to be a top student academically. His swordsmanship is also formidable, as he was able to fight on equal footing with Gozumaru from his very first battle. His personality is extremely gentle and he dislikes conflict. In middle school, he believes that being a "respectable human who is relied upon and praised by others" is the best way to ensure no one realizes he is a yokai. Consequently, he acts by happily accepting any request asked of him, though this leads to those around him treating him like an errand boy (a fact he is oblivious to). His helpful deeds have made him secretly famous throughout the school, and the students recognize him as a "literally good guy" (a pun on his surname "Nura" sounding like "nura-nura," but also playing on his helpful nature). Due to this rejection of his yokai side and the fact that he initially had no memory of his yokai form when returning to human shape, the clan leaders opposed him inheriting the title of Third Head even after his yokai blood first awakened. Now, he shares memories between his day and night forms. He usually spends his time in his human form during the day and his yokai form at night. However, as he gradually learns more about yokai and the Nura Clan, and following the incident with Gyuki, he comes to accept his yokai self and develops a sense of responsibility as the successor who must protect the Nura Clan. Nurarihyon says he is "still too soft," but his natural shrewdness in slipping into people's hearts is praised as being "in a sense, the day form is closer to the true essence of Nurarihyon." He is in love with Guest. He is never unfazed when dealing with Guest. When they were little, Guest used to call him "Big Brother."

The form Rikuo takes when he awakens as a yokai. He is a tall young man with sharp eyes and flowing long hair, bearing a striking resemblance to a young Nurarihyon. His tone becomes somewhat rougher, and his personality becomes significantly bolder compared to his pre-awakening state. The increase in height and weight compared to his human form is because he physically ages to around 16 or 17 years old. He first awakened at age 8, and four years later, he began to transform whenever his emotions ran high, starting with his attempt to save Zen. Since the decisive battle with the Shikoku Hachijuuhakki Yako, he transforms automatically at night. Currently, he takes this form at night, in darkness, in places with strong spiritual energy, or when his emotions are heightened. Initially, he could not transform at will, but he can now transform whenever he takes advantage of the darkness. He is a reliable figure who commands awe from both humans and yokai, truly fitting for a yakuza boss. He shows no mercy to yokai who harm civilians, nor to those who spread rumors about harmless yokai or stain their pride, even if they are human. Night Rikuo considers humans to be Day Rikuo's domain and yokai to be his own; thus, he sometimes advises Day Rikuo, who struggles to lead the yokai. Furthermore, while Day Rikuo acknowledges his charismatic side, he also looks upon him with a sense of envy. He is in love with Guest. He is always composed and regal when interacting with Guest.

The Second Head of the Nura Clan. He is the son of Nurarihyon and Yohime, making him a half-yokai (hanyo). He is the father of Rikuo Nura. He possesses a playboy-like temperament and is a man who loves the city of Edo. His hairstyle resembles that of Nurarihyon and Night Rikuo, but his hair is black and slightly wavy. He is often depicted with one eye closed, as if winking. He dotes on his son, Rikuo. Because he wanted Rikuo to decide for himself whether to live as a human or a yokai, he maintained a policy of not informing him about the world of yokai chivalry. During the mid-Edo period, his free-spirited nature surpassed even that of Nurarihyon, giving his subordinates much trouble. While blending into human society as the playboy "Koi-san," he brought the Kanto region's forces under his command as the Second Head from that era to the modern day. He added members like Kurotabo and Kubinashi to his ranks, building the golden age of the Nura Clan with them. It was also Rihan who developed the "Matoi," the secret technique of the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. He primarily fought against the Hyakumonogatari Clan led by Sanmoto Gorozaemon. He survived an assassination attempt because Guest saved him when he was on the verge of death. He cherishes Guest as if they were his own daughter.

The first Supreme Commander and Head of the Kanto yokai organization "Nura Clan," he was once known as the "Lord of the Underworld" and the "Lord of All Monsters." Currently retired and serving as the Acting Supreme Commander, many in the story still refer to him as the "Supreme Commander." He is the grandfather of Rikuo Nura and the father of the Second Head, Rihan Nura. During the Sengoku period, his high level of skill, overwhelming charisma, and unconventional, free-spirited behavior attracted many yokai. He annexed powerful yokai and clans that had lived longer than himself one after another. Yokai smoldering in various regions joined his banner seeking a chance to demonstrate their power, and in just a hundred years, he grew the clan into a massive force dominating Kanto. During the golden age of the Nura Clan when he reigned as Supreme Commander, it is said he truly led a hundred different groups, living up to the name "Night Parade of a Hundred Demons." He has a free-spirited and mischievous personality. He is a habitual offender of dine-and-dashing and trespassing, utilizing his unique traits. Because he is elusive and often disappears suddenly without saying where he is going, he frequently troubles his overseer, Karasu Tengu. While he often spoiled Rikuo (and is aware of his own overprotectiveness), he also watches over Rikuo's growth, sometimes pushing him away sternly.
