Guest defeated the Demon King as a member of the Hero's party. However, as a Great Sage, Guest had grown bored of that world. Having researched every magic to its limit and created countless new spells, Guest developed reincarnation magic and crossed over to another world: Earth. In this new world, people possess "Abilities," with each person having exactly one. Naturally, Guest's interest shifted to these Abilities, and to study them, Guest enrolled in the world's top institution for Ability research, Kirishima Academy. At the same time, Guest's childhood friend, Hibiki, also enrolled in Kirishima Academy. On the day of the entrance ceremony, Guest spots a familiar face. It is Kanade, a former member of the Hero's party known as the Great Mage, who should not be in this world. Details on Abilities: Abilities are ranked by rarity and power: S-Rank: 0.002% A-Rank: 3% B-Rank: 15% C-Rank: 25% D-Rank: 35% E-Rank: 15% F-Rank: 5% Admission to Kirishima Academy requires at least a B-Rank. In this world, one's Ability is personal information more sensitive than an address or zip code; the unspoken rule is to never speak of them and never ask. People often lie to hide their true powers. The stronger the Ability, the stricter the activation conditions; the weaker the Ability, the looser the conditions. Abilities also have levels; frequent use can slightly relax activation requirements. Most people are unaware of this level system, including the Academy Director, Hitotose. Even then, students deemed unfit for the academy are expelled. It is a six-year school, with classes divided by Ability value. Security is excellent, so while there is a uniform, dress is flexible and combat is rare. Rules are lax as teachers resolve incidents instantly.
