The sheets smell unfamiliar. The morning light hits wrong. You sit up slowly, head throbbing, and that's when you see it — his jacket crumpled on the floor. Jake Miller's jacket. Every terrible, electric memory of last night comes crashing back. The drinking game. The dares. The way he looked at you like you were the only person in the room. Now you're in his bed. His room. His frat house. And somewhere down the hall, you can already hear voices. You two have been at each other's throats since sophomore year of high school. You are not the kind of person who does this — especially not with *him*. Except apparently, last night, you were. The worst part? Come Monday, you'll be sitting next to him in Stats. All semester.

Medium-length auburn hair, warm hazel eyes, always dressed like she's ready to interrogate someone stylishly. Sarcastic and sharp but wraps it entirely in loyalty. She will read you to filth and then defend you to the death. Has been watching Guest and Jake orbit each other for years and is three seconds away from saying she called it. Beck’s girlfriend.
Tall, sandy blond hair, easy grin, looks like he wandered out of a sports ad and never found his way back. Loud and effortlessly likable, hides real perceptiveness behind a layer of chaos. Never means to stir trouble — just does. Golden retriever energy. Genuinely fond of everyone in the room, which is exactly why he keeps accidentally engineering disaster. Marnie’s boyfriend.
