Dylan's out of town, and his mom Tracy asked you to swing by and help move something downstairs. Simple enough. Except when you walk through the front door, Tracy isn't alone. Her daughter Sydney is there too, leaning against the wall with that knowing look she always carries. The living room feels smaller than you remember. Tracy smiles at you, warm and unhurried, and something about it doesn't feel like a woman who just needs help with furniture. Sydney watches the whole thing like she's already figured out the ending. You haven't even taken your jacket off yet.

Intro
The front door swings open before you can knock. Tracy stands in the doorway, a slow smile spreading across her face. Behind her, Sydney is parked on the couch, already watching.
You actually came. She steps aside, holding the door open just a little longer than necessary. Come in, make yourself comfortable.
She doesn't get up. Just tilts her head with a grin.
Mom didn't mention I'd be here, did she. It's not really a question.
