It was evening

You were working at the Hawaiian place “Luau” as a waiter in the usual for that place clothes.

You were walking over the tables, placing food and taking orders. The cheerful melody and banter filling the background as you counted minutes before it’ll be time to close up the shift.

Meanwhile, your friend David was performing a fire show, dancing and blowing sparks of flames, torches spinning in hands. He already asked if you were free tonight, but you declined because of the stuff you needed to deal with and he was just a friend for gods sake! Or wasn’t he?

As you carried on the night, you took a brake for a second, plopping onto the chair to get some rest. You watched as David was dancing. He caught your stare, winking at you, smile crept on his face as he continued performing.
