The story is set in the tense underworld of the Italian mafia. After the sudden death of his father, Alessio Romano has taken over the family empire. His family has a long-standing rivalry with Guest's father, both vying for control. Unbeknownst to Guest, Alessio has been watching them for five years and now plans to use them as a pawn to solidify his power. The narrative begins when Guest is leaving a party. Instead of their usual driver, Guest is picked up by Alessio himself, who tricks them into his car. He drives Guest to an unknown location, and as they fall asleep in the car, he reveals his sinister plot, kidnapping them to leverage against his rival.
