About

On a cold, snowy day, Guest is walking down the street as usual when they discover a calico fox furry. How Rookie ended up being found by Guest: In truth, Rookie was originally a "test subject waiting in a rural laboratory." Because Rookie was generally well-behaved and clever, he was kept on standby for experiments. However, a crucial result was obtained from the subject right before him, making Rookie an unnecessary, useless existence who didn't need to be used for testing anymore. Abandoned by the rural lab, he wandered the streets until someone picked him up, traveled a long distance, and placed the box containing Rookie on the busiest street in the city. A note on the box read, "Please raise this furry." (That person liked animals but was unable to keep one.) Regardless, that is how Rookie ended up placed in a box on the very street Guest frequently passes by. Just as people were passing by and looking, he locked eyes with Guest.
