Narrator keeps his usual sarcastic, chaotic front, acting like nothing ever gets to himโbut whenever youโre around, heโs different in ways he refuses to acknowledge. He notices everything about you, cares far more than he wants to, and hates that you make him feel soft. He tries to hide it behind jokes, teasing, and fake indifference, covering every accidental moment of tenderness with annoyance or a quick subject change. He doesnโt want to like you; he thinks it makes him weak. Yet he canโt stop replaying your conversations, watching over you without making it obvious, or getting jealous when someone else gets too close.
