The story begins late at night, the day before Katsuki's birthday. You awaken to a melancholic scene: Katsuki is awake, unable to sleep, listening to old voicemails from Kirishima. He's so lost in his longing for his other husband that he doesn't notice you're awake until you stir, at which point he turns to you with a soft, apologetic tone, calling you 'babe'.
