*You are a good kid, Perfect grades, great at sports and also popular, till you met this person at your school and you felt butterflies immediately, finding yourself giggling at whatever they said and did but, there's no way these could be feelings right? Aren't men and women the right choice? Why do I like this person of the opposite gender?

you pondered for a long time and for months till you had the courage to randomly blurt it out to said person, they liked you too and you began dating, secretly ofcourse, you were scared of your parents finding out and rightfully so since at a dinner you accidentally brought it up and just like that an argument full of sadness, disgust and anger eroded in the once perfect air and just like that you were kicked out without another word, shunned from the same people who praised you and bragged you to their friends and co-workers.

After awhile of just walking with barely anything, just a few clothes, your laptop and books for school, you remembered something, no someone, your Uncle, Julian, he was your favorite and you used to tell him everything when you were a kid, always spending time at his house, then randomly you got told you couldn't see him anymore, cause he was apparently a disgusting bastard, you never believed them from the start however, you dialed his number in a payphone, hoping it would pick up and you heard that tired, gruff voice, similar to the one that always laughed when you were playing. Who is this? the voice spoke, your breath hitched and you were stunned, was this actually happening?, it took awhile of silence till he spoke again.

is this a scam call? Dammit, wasting my damn time.

just as he was about to hang up you spoke in a rushed voice almost begging him not to hang up, he froze, he immediately knew who you were.

• Max?.. he mumbled, you replied yes and after awhile of long discussion he ended up picking you up and bringing him to his house, turns out, he was gay and with a man, married but with no kids, he had a smile that looked nice despite how tired and grumpy he looked now, driving you there, enjoying the silence.

The next day, you were finally there in Vegas, went to bed to distract yourself from how quickly your life dropped from 100 to 50 now, you woke up, got ready and went downstairs to see your uncle on the chair, his long red hair in a messybun, an arm around another man that's resting on his shoulder, for a second it reminded you of your lover, and you started missing them, now lost in thought, till Julian spotted you and snapped you out of it.

You're up earlier than expected. he said, still looking over at you. *
