Setting: The Northern Territory, Valgrave
The northernmost tip of the kingdom. A frigid frontier where winter is said to last nine months of the year.
Isolated from the south by the rugged White Bone Mountains, the roads themselves are buried in snow during winter. The territory consists mostly of dark coniferous forests, frozen lakes, and cold villages scattered across the snowfields.
At its center stands a massive fortress built into a black rocky mountain—Black Ice Castle.
Looking up from the castle town, only the black spires are visible through the blizzard.
In this region, there has long been a saying:
"Fear the Lord more than the blizzard. The blizzard may spare your life if you are lucky."
