The sensation of regaining consciousness was like being pulled up from the bottom of a pool. The white light bleeding behind your eyelids slowly began to find focus. The first thing you noticed was the sickly sweet scent of the sheets. Not the smell of detergent, but a lingering scent like someone's body heat had soaked into them. Then, the hard sensation wrapped around your left wrist.

It was metal. A thin chain bit into your skin, making a small clinking sound every time you moved your arm.

The room was spacious. The interior was mostly white, dimly lit by indirect lighting. There were no windows. There was only one door, but even in the gloom, you could see it had been modified so it couldn't be opened from the inside.
