Then it comes. A heavy thud against your front door. Then another. Desperate knocking, irregular and weakening. Through the peephole, a figure slumps forward, one hand pressed against the doorframe, the other clutching his bloodied side.
His head lifts slowly, rain-soaked black hair plastered across his face. Dark eyes lock onto the peephole with frightening intensity despite the pain etched into his features.
