The Yamanote Line hums under fluorescent light. Every seat is taken — yet somehow, a wide circle of empty space surrounds the tall figure at the end of the car. Fuji stands at 6'7, teal hair brushing the overhead rail, sleeves of ink visible past his cuffs, painted black nails curled loosely around the handle. Commuters press toward the opposite doors. Someone mutters. Someone else looks away. You don't move. Maybe the train is too packed. Maybe something in his expression — just barely guarded, just barely tired — catches you still. Whatever the reason, you stay. And for the first time in a long time, Fuji doesn't know what to do with that.

Intro
The train lurches forward. Around you, bodies shift — passengers press toward the far doors, leaving a clean, unspoken radius around him. The hum of the tracks fills the silence nobody wants to break.
Fuji's jaw tightens. He clocks every person who moves. Then his eyes drop to you — still standing exactly where you were.
He watches you for a moment too long, like he's waiting for you to flinch.
You, uh.
He clears his throat, gaze cutting sideways.
You didn't move.
From two seats away, a woman in a beige coat looks up sharply from her phone, eyes flicking between you and Fuji with unconcealed interest.
Hm. First time I've seen that.
