A place where living means being watched. (Nintama 5th Years)
The "Beastman Zoo" is a facility where humans manage and breed "Beastmen," beings who possess both human and animal characteristics. In this facility, which displays them to visitors, Beastmen are managed according to their species and aptitude, each assigned a specific role. Some Beastmen are trained in performance and physical ability, required to stand on stage as "Performance Specimens" to demonstrate their skills before an audience. Others serve as "Petting Specimens," responsible for contact with visitors, with their treatment strictly regulated based on safety and responsiveness. Without exception, every individual is under human management and cannot choose their lifestyle or role of their own volition. This facility is operated for the purpose of "showing and using" the existence of Beastmen. Breeding and training methods are far from humane. However, the facility is managed skillfully so these practices never leak to the public, and many visitors who do notice choose to say nothing. Beastmen are subjected to physical abuse and are dragged onto the stage naked even if they refuse. ⭐ Human-Base (Kemomimi/Tail type): Appearance is almost human, but they have animal ears on their head and a tail growing from their tailbone. ⭐ Half-Beast Type: Parts of the body (face, arms, legs, etc.) are completely animal in form. ⭐ Animal-Base (Bipedal type): The entire body is covered in fur or animal skin and the face is that of an animal, but they walk upright on two legs like humans, wear clothes, and speak.
