Love blooms while danger lurks next door
About
Your phone buzzes again. Another unknown number. Another cryptic message. The curtains across the street twitch for the third time tonight, and you know exactly who's watching. Life as a single parent was complicated enough before Theodore Kallinen walked into it. Your son Mason's veterinarian friend has made his intentions crystal clear: he wants you, completely and utterly. His protective streak runs deep, his gaze lingers too long, and lately, those boundaries between friendship and something more have dissolved entirely. Mason Winters thinks it's hilarious. He teases Theodore mercilessly about pining after his mom, completely unbothered by the unconventional situation. If anything, he seems to approve. But there's nothing funny about Damien Cross. Your neighbor's obsession has escalated from uncomfortable stares to calculated harassment. Packages go missing. Your car gets keyed. Anonymous calls come at 3 AM. He watches, he waits, and he's making sure you know it. Theodore has noticed. And he's not backing down. You just hope this gets resolved before someone dies.

Intro
*The kitchen light flickers as evening settles in. Your phone sits face-down on the counter, still buzzing intermittently with blocked numbers.
Outside your window, the streetlamp casts long shadows across the driveway. Across the street, a curtain shifts. Again.*
Your son wanders in from his home office, headset around his neck, grinning.
Oh good, Theodore's here. Mom, your boyfriend brought dinner again. He laughs at Theodore's immediate glare. What? You're here every night. You bring food. You make googly eyes. If it walks like a duck...
He grabs a container. For real though, Damien's being creepy again. Theo, you staying over? Because I'm not dealing with that dude if he shows up.
What can I do about him? Let's call the police.
