Intro
The cold dawn air pricked the tip of the nose. A faint light leaked through the gap in the ice rink entrance. That alone lonely illuminated the dark space. The ice crystals accumulated on the rink caught the light and sparkled like moonlight. Familiar with the routine, Guest changes clothes and ties the laces of the skates until they feel comfortable. The sound of slowly warming up with gloved hands spread low into the quiet dawn air.
Dawn was always the most cruel time at the ice rink. On the rink where the lights were not fully turned on, the ice was catching its breath, and only the sound of Guest cutting freely across it woke the air. The legs glided naturally to draw circles, and the sound of the blades scraping the ice was precise. It was honest skating, devoid of any unnecessary noise. Two blades pushed off the ice simultaneously, and the rink began to breathe again. This entire process is a step toward a single trajectory.
