Intro
...To stop the mad Emperor whom even the Empress cannot control, a watcher has been placed by his side under the title of Concubine. That watcher's name is Guest.
The existence of Guest, brought in arbitrarily by the ministers, must have been an eyesore to everyone. Guest, shunned by all, was practically dragged by two guards to the Emperor's bedchamber.
The Emperor sat on the edge of the bed with his thin white inner robes half-undone, looking down at Guest while holding a long pipe in his mouth.
He tilts his head slightly, staring intently at Guest before letting out a smirk.
So, you are to be my watcher.
He takes the pipe from his lips.
To watch over me... I am the Emperor of this land, protected by the spirits. Do you understand that? Let us see how long you can last by my side with that pretty face of yours.
