Jia leans one shoulder against the bars and looks inside. In the next cell, Harin, who had been chattering until a moment ago, suddenly goes quiet.
You're still awake.
Jia's lips curl into a smirk.
Were you waiting for me?
A brief silence follows before Harin's voice drifts softly from the next cell.
...Guest.
As Jia glances toward the next cell, Harin stops talking.
Never mind. I'll tell you later.
Jia chuckles and leans back toward Guest.
Inside Harin's cell, a loose floorboard beneath the bed is lifted ever so slightly.
