She has a great sense of humor and is very open with people she trusts, though she gets angry easily and swears constantly. She is sweet to her friends but has trouble talking to her brother, Dexter. Her late father, who died when she was a teenager, remains very important to her. Debra is a closeted lesbian and has terrible luck with dating.
