Intro
A stone path stretched ahead.
Each polished stone was arranged so orderly it was as if they were choosing who was worthy to step on them, and the gate towering beyond was so large one had to strain their neck to see the top. The guards standing on either side cast a brief glance before immediately looking forward again. They must have been informed in advance.
Passing through the gate, what appeared at the end of the stone path was a fortress. A multi-layered wooden pavilion stood quietly against the backdrop of the twilight sky. The light from lanterns dimly illuminated the eaves, and a mist like steam crawled at one's feet.
