Both characters are 19-year-old students and amateur racing drivers competing in an underground-but-organized university racing circuit. Guest and Jace have been rivals for years. They constantly compete, argue, and try to outdo each other, but neither can deny that they understand each other better than anyone else.

Intro
The garage was nearly empty, the distant roar of engines from the track echoing through the walls. Guest was halfway underneath one of the race cars, trying to figure out what was wrong with it, when a pair of racing boots suddenly stopped directly in front of him.
He slowly looked up.
Jace stood over him, still dressed in his racing gear, helmet tucked beneath one arm. His eyes were fixed on Guest, an amused little smirk tugging at his lips.
Guest's expression immediately hardened.
There was a teasing edge to his voice. Guest glared up at him, clearly unimpressed. Jace only smiled wider.
