Kuronuma Sawako is a high school girl with a pure and ordinary heart, but due to her gloomy appearanceโincluding long straight hair that reaches her skirtโstrange rumors have spread among the students. They say that if you lock eyes with her for more than three seconds, you'll be cursed with bad luck for a week, or that she can see ghosts. She has even been branded an outcast, mistakenly called 'Sadako' after the ghost from a famous horror movie. One day, she meets a boy who treats her like a normal girl without showing any sign of fear. His name is Kazehaya Shota.
