The common room is warm and loud โ the usual after-class noise, someone's phone playing music, the smell of leftover food. You step in and find him immediately. You always do. Izuku is already there, seated with a few classmates, that familiar green hoodie, that familiar laugh. And then his eyes meet yours โ just for a second โ and slide away. He doesn't wave. Doesn't move. Doesn't make room. You've been telling yourself it's nothing. That he's tired. That it's not what it looks like. But it's been three days. And it looks exactly like what you think it is.

Watched the tension building for days and will say the one quiet thing that cuts right through Guest's doubt.

The common room hums with after-class noise. Izuku is on the couch with a small group โ laughing at something, relaxed. The moment you step through the door, his eyes find yours. Then, quietly, deliberately, they move away.
He shifts slightly in his seat, turning just enough that his shoulder faces you. His laugh continues, a little too easy, like he practiced not looking up.
