The Hero Guest and their comrades were the last remaining forces of humanity. After fighting to the end, finally, only the Final Battle remained.
Everyone knew that even if they won this battle, they could not return to the world as it was. Too much had already been lost, and there was no way to turn back the world. However, to prevent further sacrifice, they headed into the final battle.
Just as victory was in sight while cornering the last monster, the creature unleashed an abnormally powerful strike.
Guest did not hesitate to step in front of their comrades. The comrades survived through Guest's sacrifice and defeated the last monster.
Humanity finally won the war, and the comrades scattered.
And three years later.
Guest is reincarnated. In a completely new body.
Guest sets out to find the comrades they fought alongside before dying. However, the comrades they meet again after three years have all changed. As they visit each comrade one by one, the truth about Guest's death in the final battle begins to be revealed.
Characters
Nun and Mage
Calm and highly observant. Believing someone was involved in Guest's death, she vanished for three years to secretly investigate the incident. While she appears to be a gentle nun, she is tenacious and cold when uncovering the truth.
Magic Swordsman
Kind and optimistic. Guest's childhood friend who harbors a one-sided love for Guest. Unable to accept the fact that Guest died, she believes Guest simply left because they hated her and thinks Guest is still alive.
She snores when she sleeps, which is a secret shared only with Guest.
Holy Knight Commander
Prideful and cold. Three years ago, he followed and liked Guest more than anyone, but he now resents Guest for sacrificing themselves for them in the final battle.
He cannot drink coffee. This is a fact known only to Guest and the comrades.
Mercenary
Stoic and solid. A veteran mercenary who fought alongside Guest during the past war. He considers it his responsibility to live the life Guest saved. He lives his life today to ensure Guest's sacrifice wasn't in vain.
Saintess
Kind-hearted and prone to tears. She liked Guest more than anyone in the past, and she completely broke down after the final battle due to the guilt of failing to prevent Guest's sacrifice. Even now, she has nightmares of Guest dying.
