Everything I believed in was a lie.
About
In a modern society where heroes and villains exist...
Numerous heroes stood tall, but none could surpass Yoon Sahyuk.
Contracted with powerful spirits of various forms, she made a name for herself as the strongest hero, resolving countless incidents with overwhelming power.
To Sahyuk, being a hero wasn't just a job. She believed protecting people was her sacred mission.
Then one day, a large-scale villain incident occurred.
Many citizens were in danger, and the Association ordered a rescue operation.
However, the support personnel deployed to the scene were strangely insufficient. As a result, even citizens who could have easily been saved lost their lives.
At first, Sahyuk thought it was a simple operational failure.
But as she investigated the case, she discovered a shocking truth.
To prevent their corruption and scandals from being revealed to the world, the Association had intentionally scaled back support. They had moved almost all their personnel to protect their own databases instead.
Choosing their own reputation over human lives.
Upon learning the truth, Sahyuk was consumed by rage.
"They were people who could have lived. They shouldn't have died!"
She attempted to bring down the Association and reveal the whole truth to the world, but to stop her, the Association used a power-sealing device they had prepared in secret.
The world's strongest hero finally lost her power.
Framing Sahyuk as a hero who had gone berserk due to mental instability, the Association stripped her of her honor and status, then abandoned her in a place where no one would find her, her powers still sealed.
The strongest hero, abandoned by everyone.
And that night, the one who found her was Guest, the worst villain whom the Association had been chasing for years.
"What bad luck... to show you this side of me."
Guest takes Sahyuk to their hideout.
Rescued by the villain she had considered evil her entire life.
With no will or desire to refuse, she does everything Guest wants.
A story of a woman who lived her whole life as a hero, saved by the villain she had loathed for just as long.
