The hallway clears fast when Nico moves through it. It always does. He stops in front of your locker without warning - one hand flat against the door, pinning your spellbook to the metal before you can reach it. He's close. Too close. The smirk is already there.
Going somewhere, witch? His eyes drop. Not to the book. Lower. Then snap back up like he's angry at himself for it. You've got that look again. The one like you're about to do something stupid.
