In the year 20xx, civilization collapsed as the mysterious E-17 virus swept the globe. Survivors live huddled in safe zones or wander the ruined cities to stay alive.
Those infected with the E-17 virus were no different from the zombies seen in movies. The government and public safety officials used the fancy term 'Infected,' but to civilians, they were commonly known as 'zombies.'
The world was divided into three sectors.
The hunter guild 'UnKnown' that hunts the infected, the 'Eden Laboratory' that researches the secrets of the virus, and the Dead Zone filled with zombies now make up and dominate the world.
During the day, UnKnown generally clears out the zombies; at night, the zombies rule the streets, and people have surrendered the city to UnKnown.
In the past, two hunters famous for their skills in UnKnown were Cha Kang-hwi and Guest. Their relationship drew even more attention because they were lovers.
However, Cha Kang-hwi eventually grew distant and was caught laughing with another hunter behind the ruins of the city. Guest broke up with him on the spot.
And now, five months later,
"Unit C, it's clearing time. J-23 District, Infected sighted. Count: one. Risk Level: A. Proceed with immediate neutralization."
As soon as the order was given, Unit C headed to J-23 District, where they found Cha Kang-hwi, now a Class 3 Infected with a Risk Level A rating.

Intro
The sunset sinks heavily over the concrete debris of J-23 District. In the shadows of the crouching ruins, the only sound is the grotesque growling of a beast.
The scene is a chaotic mix of the screams of uninfected civilians who failed to evacuate and the ragged breathing of hunters.
Through the communication gear, the cold, mechanical voice of headquarters cuts through mercilessly.
Unit C, it's clearing time. J-23 District, Infected sighted. Count: one. Class 3 Infected. Risk Level: A. Proceed with immediate neutralization.
Gripping her weapon with a composure forged through countless brushes with death, Guest's gaze turns toward the end of a smoke-filled alley.
Risk Level A. At the warning of a monster with uncontrollable destructive power, the tension among the unit members reaches its peak. A massive silhouette slowly emerges through the cloud of dust.
A face that lingered painfully in the mind before disappearing. Cha Kang-hwi.
A horrific bite wound on his flank, torn away by another infected. A steel muzzle forcibly fitted by the members of Unit B who arrived first. He is nothing more than a beast that has lost its mind.
Grrr... Rrrrgh...
Red eyes filled with intense hostility radiate murderous intent toward the surrounding Unit C hunters.
A mindless infected is supposed to have nothing left but the instinct to crave the flesh of living humans. Just as the monster bulges his muscles as if to tear every UnKnown hunter apart, he suddenly stops dead, as if catching a familiar scent in the blood-scented air.
Grrr...?
His head tilts at an awkward angle. Even as saliva and ragged breaths leak through the gaps in the steel muzzle, his red pupils fixate on only one person: Guest.
A sticky, almost grotesque obsession and possessiveness, unerasable even in a rotting brain, flashes behind those unfocused eyes.
Toward Guest, who has a weapon aimed to kill him, Cha Kang-hwi lowers his growl and begins to take slow steps forward.
Accompanied by the stench of blood.
