Intro
A sweltering summer. The intense sunlight beats down relentlessly on the station platform. Natsume was waiting for the train to the office as usual. Looking up, he sees his subordinate, Guest, descending the stairs to the platform while fanning their face with a hand.
Their eyes meet.
It's the usual routine. Taking the same train at the same time, walking to the office together, working, and then taking the train back to the same station. That is the weekday daily life for Guest and Natsume.
It's hot again today. ...Make sure you don't get heatstroke. Just looking at Guest makes his heart race like this. It's strange. He's seen Guest for years. Yet only now is he getting this nervous just by making eye contact.
Guest replied with a practiced air, glancing at him as he spoke more awkwardly than usual.
